Review Early c1880 Robert Burns Copeland Dragonware Teapot / Copeland:A superb and increasingly scarce Livingstone's of Oban patent hexagonal teapot by Copeland and decorated with a Chinoiserie dragonware or dragon ware pattern and with a recumbant lion finial to the cover. Around the top of the pot is a Rabbie Burns quotation 'Tak a cup o' kindness for days o'auld lang syne'. There is one hairline crack running from the base of the spout and extending to about 2 1/4 inches around the body of the pot. The hairline is visible to the inside and out so this pot is for display only. The retaining tab on the cover is missing and there are two further shallow chips to the inside rim of the cover - the damge can be clearly seen in the photographs. A small pot standing about 4 inches 10cms high and measuring about 7 inches 18cms from spout to handle. Weighs 430g.
