Review Freestanding globe bar - large / Nauticalia:These "globe bars" are replicas of originals from the 17th century, when rich gentlemen liked to discuss the world - and perhaps their next voyage of discovery - over a glass or two of something special. Now difficult to find (and very unusual), they are beautiful centrepieces that will always be a talking point, whether being used to served drinks or not. The maps, with their delightful illustrations of sea monsters, landmarks and foreign peoples, are fascinating and reveal a great deal about the thinking of the time. Please be careful though, as mid-1600's positioning errors are reproduced too (not to be used for reference or navigation)! Some simple self-assembly required, glasses and bottles not supplied. Review WMF Special Offer Easy White Wine Glasses (6) / WMF 09 0702 9990:Dishwasher-safe white wine glasses in sets of 6 - Most glassware manufacturers actively discourage dishwasher use as, over time, virtually all glassware is damaged by dishwashers, either through breakage or hazing. The haziness is simply the result of caustic elements in dishwasher detergent pitting the polished surface of the glass. The new Easy range of glassware from WMF is produced using Aquadurit glass which resists pitting and keeps the glass surface clear for hundreds of wash cycles. In addition, each glass is treated with a strengthening agent during production. This strengthening is applied to the lip, the stem top and the foot, resulting in far fewer breakages. The range is packed in 6's and also comes in champagne flutes, red wine and highball tumblers.
